ORGANIC CINNAMON
- Cut for herbal tea-

Cinnamomum zeylanicum

Origin: Sri Lanka

Format: cut for herbal tea

The cinnamon tree belongs to the laurel family and actually resembles the bay tree.
To obtain the cinnamon we use in our preparations, the bark of these trees is used, which is cut with a machete and left to dry.
With the loss of moisture, the cinnamon sticks gradually roll up on themselves, taking on the characteristic shape we know.

But in addition to cinnamon sticks and cinnamon powder, there is also another format: the cut for herbal tea.

WHAT IS CUT FOR HERBAL TEA?

The cut for herbal tea is a form in which the dried plant is prepared.
Once the plant we are interested in is harvested, rather than leaving it whole (which could take up a lot of space), we can break it into smaller parts. Normally with a diameter of 2-3 cm.

The cut for herbal tea of a plant has several advantages:

  • Facilitates the extraction of active ingredients
  • Takes up less space and makes storage easier
  • Makes it possible to create mixes with different plants in herbal tea more easily

CINNAMON HERBAL TEA

With the cut for herbal tea of cinnamon bark, we can create excellent cinnamon herbal teas, either alone or mixed with other plants.

Cinnamon herbal tea can be useful for various interesting properties: the most prominent area is that of type 2 diabetes.
It seems that its essential oil, present in the plant's bark, helps reduce blood glucose levels.
In addition to this, broad-spectrum antimicrobial and antiviral properties have been highlighted.
