Yuzu ユズ, 柚, 柚子 is a Japanese citrus fruit similar to a mandarin but with a slightly more floral and pungent note, it is a highly sought-after fruit for its uniqueness but expensive and difficult to find as it only grows in Japan.

As often happens, citrus fruits find an excellent combination with green teas and this is especially true for this splendid kukicha tea blended with yuzu peels, the two flavors blend together really well giving rise to a toasted background note.

On one hand we have the umami of green kukicha tea, its roundness and its chlorophyll, on the other hand we have the citrusy and pungent note of yuzu.

Like all kukicha teas, this one also has a very low caffeine content.
