Benifuki is a particular Japanese cultivar from which a green tea of the same name is obtained. This green tea is characterized by the high presence of antioxidants, particularly the famous Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), with a higher concentration of epigallocatechin methyl gallate (EGCG3''Me) found in it.
Various studies have shown how this molecule can alleviate allergic symptoms, such as those from exposure to Japanese cedar pollen.
Its "oolong type" processing, particularly studied for this type of Japanese tea, further contributes to making it a tea rich in antioxidants.
Its taste is slightly more delicate than classic Japanese green teas like Sencha and Bancha, always maintaining a note between sweet and floral from the cut grass. Like most high-quality pure teas, Terza Luna's organic Bennifuuki is suitable for 2-3 infusions with the same leaves.
