Sakura in Japanese means cherry blossom. There is a strong connection between Japanese culture and this flower. It is represented first and foremost by the celebration of Hanami which takes place in spring during the cherry blossoms. Japanese aesthetics celebrate the beauty of this spectacle, not forgetting its metaphysical side, remembering through the transience of cherry blossoms (whose life lasts only a few days) the dilemma of an immortal life.

But in addition to this, we must remember that spring is the beginning of a new cycle on the island as it coincides with the start of the school year and other events, and therefore the cherry blossom is considered a good omen for those starting a new path, so much so that it is tradition to offer it as tea or infusion at weddings.
