The WenShan Baozhong oolong tea, also known by its European transliteration Pouchong, is a low oxidation oolong from the northern area of Taiwan. Just a few kilometers from Taipei but already on very high mountains is the road that leads to Pin Lin and then flows onto the western coast of the island, the less urbanized one.
The Wenshan oolong has become famous for its particularly velvety touch, and for its sweet and floral aroma, a real pleasure for the palate. Its notes are reminiscent of honey with hints of citrus fruits and herbaceous parsley.
The processing of the leaves of this tea is as complex as all oolongs, which are the teas with the longest processes ever, where the importance of the tea master's choices, his experience, is fundamental.
This tea won the first star in 2018 for the London Great Taste Award.
