ORGANIC SENCHA KAGOSHIMA

- Japanese Tea -

Origin: Japan, Kagoshima province
Harvest: June 2023

Organic farming

The organic Sencha tea is one of the most consumed green teas in Japan.
Today, China also produces large quantities of Sencha, mostly for export and used as a blend for classic flavored green teas. This is why Sencha is often used as a base for many blends, but it should not be considered a lesser tea. Sencha is actually a green tea that reaches very high quality levels in Japan. The Sencha Kagoshima that we offer is a blend of different tea gardens that produce Sencha.

The quality of Sencha tea offered by our tea shop comes from the Kagoshima province, in the far south of the Japanese island. The infusion of this precious Sencha tea boasts an olive green color, with distinct notes, extremely pleasing to lovers of Japanese green tea.

Among all the green teas available online, organic Sencha Kagoshima is certainly one of those with a high presence of antioxidants. Take a look at all the other Sencha teas selected by us!
This is partly due to the plant cultivar but mainly to the "stabilization" or steaming method of its leaves, which are processed once harvested.

Steaming is one of the characteristics of Japanese teas, which are indeed preferred by those looking for antioxidant properties in tea.

For the preparation of this tea, we recommend preparing it with low mineral water and reusing the same leaves for up to 3/4 infusions.
