ORGANIC CEREMONIAL FORASTERO CACAO
FROM BRAZIL

Origin: Brazil, state of Bahia
100% ceremonial cacao
Forastero cultivar

This ceremonial cacao further enriches Terza Luna's research in the field of this powerful medicine, which is fortunately being used more and more in the West in the cacao ceremony.
The organic Forastero ceremonial cacao that we offer comes from Brazil, harvested at the Fazenda Pura Vida of about 21 hectares located in the state of Bahia within a 51-hectare forest reserve, and comes from organic farming even though it does not have certification.

HOW IS CEREMONIAL CACAO OBTAINED?

The ceremonial grade Forastero cacao is processed from the cacao beans that are collected at the originating Fazenda, once the beans are dried and fermented, they begin to define their taste and color more, in fact when they are in the cabossa (the cacao fruit) they are still white.
The next process is the roasting of the beans at low temperature, which serves to caramelize the sugars and bring out their full flavor; then they are ground and solidified in the required forms.
It is very important to bear in mind that unlike the cacao found in general, in ceremonial cacao the cocoa butter is not removed, which is very important for digesting and assimilating the many properties of this plant.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CHOCOLATE AND CEREMONIAL CACAO?

Chocolate or cacao powder normally does not have particular considerations regarding how it is harvested, whether it is organic or not, the beans are all collected together without paying too much attention to their state of ripeness.
In addition, in chocolate, the cocoa butter is separated and sugar and milk are subsequently added in percentage.
The beans are roasted quickly, often at high temperatures, to shorten the times as it is not important to preserve the plant's properties.

In ceremonial cacao, on the other hand, all these precautions are followed because the intention is to create a product with a strong energetic charge.
In fact, ceremonial cacao almost always comes from small Fazendas that have control over the entire process, from cultivation, to harvesting, to processing and packaging.

Today, ceremonial Forastero cacao is used by many people to increase energy and concentration, to open the heart and to get out of states of bad mood.
We recommend it to all those who want to connect more with Nature and with the many gifts it holds for us.
