ASSAM TEA
-MOKALBARI EAST-

Origin: India. Assam,
Harvest: 2nd flush

This is a black tea that, when infused, produces a beverage with a decidedly strong taste, a bold flavor, and a spicy aroma. For this reason, Assam tea is very tasty, even for black tea purists, if drunk with the addition of milk.

The presence of golden tips in Assam tea indicates that it is a quality tea.
The golden tips are indeed a sign of the richness of theaflavins, which guarantee a suggestive spicy aroma.
Assam black tea Mokalbari East has draining properties, like all black teas, thanks to its caffeine content.
Black teas in general have fewer properties compared to green teas.
This is due to their processing.
The leaf of black teas, in fact, undergoes an oxidation process that causes it to lose some of the antioxidant properties that are more commonly found in green teas, especially in pure and preferably fresh ones, like our premium teas.

Black teas are chosen for their strong and intense flavor. If you want to drink tea for its properties, we recommend choosing a green tea that has been harvested within the year, the latest available harvest.
Spring harvests (up to May) are the richest in properties. Look for them among our online teas.
