FRENCH PRESS

-For coffee or herbal teas-

The French Press is a very useful tool that can be used for brewing filter coffee but also all types of herbal teas.
Its operation is very simple:

1. Place the ground coffee or herbal tea at the bottom of the French Press
2. Pour hot water
3. Close with the lid/filter
4. After the necessary minutes of infusion before drinking, push the filter down separating the product from the liquid

The herbal tea or coffee grounds will remain at the bottom and you can pour the infusion into a cup.

It could also be used for tea, the issue is that in this tool, if not poured immediately into a cup, the leaves continue to infuse, prolonging the extraction and this in tea can result in a very bitter infusion.

The French Press is equipped with a steel filter with very tight mesh that does not even let coffee grounds pass through.
 

The coffee prepared with the French Press is quite different from the espresso we are used to in Italy, it is an infusion of the plant, more or less strong, depending on how much powder we use, to be served in the classic mug rather than in an espresso cup.
This much better respects the delicate notes of single origin coffee or flavored coffee and also extends the pleasure of coffee allowing us to enjoy it in a longer infusion, less strong and aggressive.
