Elderflower is a plant from the Adoxaceae family, it grows uniformly in most of Europe, from sea level up to 1400 meters in altitude. It is a plant that likes water, often found on the sides of rivers or in shady areas near ruins or roads. It has been used for a long time in herbal and liquor traditions, especially in northern central Europe.
It used to be the ultimate febrifuge, today remedies of allopathic medicine are preferred. Nevertheless, very effective and pleasantly tasting anti-inflammatory and diuretic infusions can be created. Boil water to 100°C, once ready, infuse 4g of flowers in a 200ml cup and leave for about 7 minutes, covered. Strain and drink.
