The kyusu teapots originate in southern Japan and are mainly designed for the infusion of green tea, but they are also suitable for black and white teas. They are characterized by the side handle and the filter that leaves all the space for the leaves to open up and release their notes.
This Japanese teapot is made of terracotta, embellished with a glaze between light green and gray, underneath the glaze you can see the original terracotta levels.
Its capacity is 230ml valid for about two people. It comes from the tokoname area in central Japan and is handmade, the shades of glaze may differ slightly from the one in the photo for this reason.
To clean this teapot, we recommend using only water and occasionally a mild and non-invasive detergent because its interior is not glazed.
