GENERAL INFORMATION

The Himalayan salt is a well-known pink salt all over the world because it boasts truly extraordinary therapeutic powers.
It is called Himalayan salt precisely because in this region of Asia the salt deposit has compacted at over 3000 meters above sea level and has been impregnated by magmatic fluids coming from the deep layers of the lithosphere.

These mineral infiltrations, which have enriched the salt, give it the identifying characteristics of this Himalayan origin, and in particular, the extraordinary pale pink color due to the presence of iron. Pink salt represents the main wealth of the populations nestled in the isolated regions north of the Himalayan barrier.
Once a year, in spring, yaks walk along the valleys, located below the Himalayan range, crossing mountains even at very high altitudes.

The Himalayan pink salt has always been a valuable aid for populations, even before being used in cooking for the preparation of special recipes or in the cosmetics sector. Until recent times, Himalayan salt was mainly used as a means of food preservation, in fact when a food is covered with salt, a reaction occurs due to the absorption of the moisture contained in the food, preserving its organoleptic properties intact for several months, preventing the proliferation of bacteria. This happens even more with Himalayan salt.

The exceptional salt, included in the Terza Luna's online spices catalog, is free from any refinement, environmental contamination, without the addition of anti-caking agents, additives, or other products. In this way, the Himalayan salt for sale on our shop preserves its natural mineral richness intact, preserving important elements for our health such as: calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper, sulfur, and obviously iron albeit in minimal doses.

Common table salt, on the other hand, is very different from crystalline salt, regardless of an obviously lower market price. Sea pollution, the refinement process, and the uses of common salt in the industry have brought to our tables a salt composed mainly of sodium chloride, to which harmful additives are often added. All to the detriment of our health. Separated from the minerals and elements useful for its assimilation, sodium chloride activates defense and elimination mechanisms by cells, at the expense of precious resources present in our body.

For this reason, refined salt is dangerous for our health, precisely because the deposits it can form are the basis of many rheumatic diseases, damage to the kidneys or liver, alterations in blood pressure. Many doctors consider common salt a real poison for cells and a danger to health, strongly recommending the intake of Himalayan salt, rich in beneficial properties. In the salt crystals of the Himalayas, in fact, all the components necessary to assimilate sodium chloride are present. Himalayan pink salt comes in granules, fine for cooking, and in crystal-stones. Its exceptional crystalline structure, particularly fine, allows the direct intake of all the elements that compose it, by the cells of the body.

Himalayan salt, so beautiful in its pink color, has a purifying, harmonizing, detoxifying effect, and is supportive in slimming treatments and diets. Another important characteristic from the point of view of our well-being is its ability to counteract hypertension by this fantastic natural element.

PINK HIMALAYAN SALT: RECIPES AND WAYS TO USE IT
Preparation of the crystalline salt solution
Put one or more salt crystals in a small, carefully cleaned glass jar. Fill it with good quality water (preferably energized). Within an hour, the crystals will dissolve until the water is saturated, resulting in a 26% crystalline hydrosaline solution, ready for use. Take the necessary amount of Himalayan salt every day. The solution remains saturated until the crystals are visible at the bottom of the jar. When they are completely dissolved, before using the solution, add more crystals to ensure saturation at 26%. Use a lid for the container. The solution has no expiration date and does not require any special storage precautions. It serves as the basis for multiple uses.

For daily well-being and purification
Every morning, on an empty stomach, drink a glass of good quality water (preferably energized) to which you have added a teaspoon of pink salt hydrosaline solution. Alternatively, dilute the teaspoon of solution in a liter of water and drink it in small sips throughout the day. For children and infants, a few drops are sufficient, to be added to their meals. Those who are hypersensitive to this detoxifying treatment can reduce the solution doses. Our body retains the vibrations of crystalline salt for 24 hours.

For beauty Crystalline salt bath: the bath purifies and regenerates the skin; it activates the energy flow and self-healing forces. Himalayan salt neutralizes the body's acidity, bringing it back to its natural pH. For a normal-sized bathtub, use 1 kg of salt. Do not use other products or soap during the bath, which should last 15-30 minutes. Do not rinse the skin after the bath and dry it gently without rubbing. It is advisable to rest for half an hour after the bath. It is not recommended to take salt baths more than twice a week.

Some curiosities

The human body requires salt from about 0.2 to 5 grams per day. The kidneys can eliminate the excess up to a maximum of about 7 grams. Deficiency and excess lead to organ dysfunction. In Europe (industrialized countries), the consumption (also induced by the content of preserved foods) is between 12 and 20 grams per day (mostly refined salt). Although better than refined salt, integral sea salt retains traces of pollutants (such as chemical/ionic presence or resonance, even in the absence of source material). Sea water should be used from uncontaminated points. Rock salt, from mineral deposits (ancient marine residues embedded in the soil), guarantees the absence of pollutants induced by industrial and sewage discharges. However, the natural components (trace elements, etc.) are not well integrated into the ionic lattice of salt (NaCl) if there has not been adequate pressure from the overlying rocks (Polish, German, Austrian mines).

Refined "enriched" salt To artificially restore the natural composition of salt, halogen substances such as iodine, fluorine, bromine, chlorine, etc. have been added (which in their chemical form, not transformed by plants or ionic state, are highly toxic), polyphenols, and metallic salts: these substances accelerate the formation of nitrosamines, known to be carcinogenic/allergenic. Additives to improve "sprinkling" and resistance to humidity Calcium and magnesium carbonate, aluminum hydroxide, E535, E536, E540, E550, etc. In particular, aluminum tends to accumulate in the brain and seems to play a role in the higher incidence of Alzheimer's disease, as it prevents synapses in nerve fibers, thus interrupting the flow of thought. (Of course, other sources of the metal, such as beverage cans, food packaging, pots, are also responsible). Source: www.progettoscudo.it
