The Matcha is a finely ground green tea in a very thin powder. To be a true Matcha, a green tea must be:

• From Japanese Tencha leaves
• Shaded for at least 30 days before harvesting
• Finely ground with granite mills

The Tencha is the green tea that eventually becomes Matcha. Its leaves are pulverized with a long grinding process. About 40-50g of Matcha can be ground in an hour. The shading process, instead, helps develop a higher concentration of chlorophyll and theanine in the leaves, giving the infusion a particularly sweet and velvety taste. Thanks to the amino acid L-theanine, the premium organic Matcha keeps you awake, alert, yet relaxed. In addition to this, Matcha has remarkable antioxidant properties as when we drink a cup of this green tea, it's like eating the whole leaf rather than extracting it as with all other teas.
