This particular item is a yixing terracotta gaiwan, enameled on the inside. It is used for the preparation of "light" teas, that is, with a low oxidation of the leaves: green, white, or delicate teas. If you are looking for items for more "robust" teas like oolong and pu erh, it is better to go for 100% yixing.
