Handmade artisan resin burner made of glazed terracotta by the Kechene cooperative in Addis Ababa. The Kechene cooperative is a small business in the Ethiopian capital that employs around thirty women who produce a variety of local traditional artifacts. Many incense resins grow between Ethiopia and Somalia, and resin burners are part of the tradition of Central Africa.
The Aethyopia resin burner is a simple, durable, and elegant object, perfect for burning all types of resins and woods, excellent solutions for purifying and sacralizing environments.
The steel mesh is not included in the product, optionally it can be inserted, as shown in the photo, to avoid getting the resin burner too dirty.
To burn incense resins properly, you need charcoal or a burning piece of wood. Light the charcoal with a match or a lighter. Then place it on the resin burner and wait for the charcoal to start turning red.
When you start to see red, place the resins or woods on the charcoal.
Optionally, you can insert a steel mesh between the charcoal and the resin burner as shown in the photo, this will help to avoid getting the support too dirty.
