The blooming tea or flower of tea is a Chinese specialty probably born in Yunnan and anciently dedicated to emperors or the higher social classes.

They are large leaf green tea leaves inside which a flower is sewn that blooms when water is poured over it.
Normally the tea is flavored with jasmine, while the flower inside has mainly an aesthetic value.

HOW TO PREPARE TEA FLOWERS?

Blooming tea or tea flowers are prepared using a glass teapot, putting the bud inside the teapot and pouring hot water over it (90°-100°).
After this, wait for the bud to slowly open revealing the flower inside, then the tea can be enjoyed.
