Cacao is one of the sacred foods according to the Maya. Cacao gives us clarity, possesses a force capable of connecting us with our creativity and expressing ourselves and opening up from a place of love. Taking this sacred medicine, our heart opens and consciousness expands giving us love and compassion. In cacao ceremonies, we work with the Nahual of the day, according to the Maya calendar, through the energies of the elements that help guide people.
This ancient ceremony consists of a bath with Q'ayis, herbs prepared by the healer who conducts the ceremony. It is done in a Maya Tuj, a traditional Maya sweat lodge.
The inipi or sweat lodge obeys a Sacred Geometry that is done by planting and tying the sticks in a ritual way, in this way the Universe and its forces are brought inside the lodge. When this Geometry is activated during a ceremony, the forces "repair" not only those present but all the realms. A lodge is created with willow branches covered by a skin; inside the lodge, a hole is dug where hot stones will be inserted, heated through a fire outside. In this way, a powerful sauna is created that helps burn toxins, fears, and sufferings. The Inipi is a powerful therapy of bonding with the earth and nourishes the awakening of our ancestral memory.
But in addition to the work for our spirit, this medicine circle brings many physical benefits:
• Stimulation of the lymphatic system
• Elimination of toxins through sweating
• Tones and purifies the skin
• Accelerates metabolism

Izaias was born and raised in an indigenous family in San Marcos La Laguna, Guatemala. At the age of 14, he began working for Keith Wilson (Keith's Cacao) as a gardener. Despite studying computer science, he became increasingly interested in religions and cultures other than the Christian background in which he grew up. From adolescence onwards, he began to follow the shamanic healing path already undertaken by his grandfather, guided by the elders of his community. At the age of 21, he married Izabel and they have 2 children, Jason and Leo, after which he was initiated into the shamanic fire path. From that moment on, he began to be a facilitator of Cacao and Fire ceremonies, carrying out the reading of the Nahual following the tradition of his ancestors.
In the first part of her life, Izabel was next to her mother on the Pacific coast of Guatemala as a harvester. Since she was a child, she worked to contribute to the support of her large family, having lost her father at the age of 6. At the age of 15, she moved away from her family and moved to San Juan La Laguna. She learns the native language of the Maya (Tzutujil) and meets Izaias in San Marcos. With this relationship, her healing journey begins; through Cacao ceremonies, she can let go of the suffering of her ancestors, freeing herself from it. Thanks to Cacao, they manage to grow together, letting go of pain and suffering and connecting more deeply with each other. She becomes a mother of 2 children and supports Izais in his journey to become a Fire shaman. She is also initiated by her teacher Nan Candelaria Xitamul into the art of shamanism. She works with pregnancies, female empowerment, and herbal healing. Today she is a healer who practices abdominal massage, Temazcal, and herbalism.
Rolando is Guatemalan, a walker of ancestral Maya wisdom, artist, and cultural manager. He works in his studio in San Marcos la Laguna, and also works on art and consciousness development projects within his community.
Originally from Colombia, she is a Moon dancer, a woman on the Temazcal path, a healer with herbs, and practices massages according to ancient Maya wisdom. She currently organizes courses, both individual and group, on these topics.
