Experiment: brown henna based on the color of your hair

Too often, natural henna is purchased and one is disappointed or not used at all for fear of making a mistake, because it is a widely held opinion that

"The final color of henna is not always the same"

Well, we are here to clarify better about hair and ideas on what color your hair will become, depending on your original color. Following are some illustrative photos that will truthfully show (we have personally tried it on ourselves and acquaintances) the color your hair will become if you use brown henna. Please note that the same experiment, but done with black henna, can be found in another article. But now let's get to the point.

What color will my hair become if I use brown henna?

Original Color: Light Blonde Applied Henna: Brown Henna Application Time: 120 minutes The result of the combination of brown henna on light blonde hair was definitely positive. It only took waiting 24 hours because initially it doesn't seem like the brown pigments effectively bind to the hair. You get beautiful and silky golden brown hair, which unfortunately cannot be fully appreciated even in photos. We apologize for this, but trust us: the result is amazing. Original Color: Blonde Applied Henna: Brown Henna Application Time: 120 minutes The hair strand where brown henna was applied is much softer. The color obtained after applying brown henna is darker than the original color: it has fewer blonde highlights and is more uniform and pleasant to the touch. Original Color: Black  Applied Henna: Brown Henna Application Time: 120 minutes No evident result, except for a very small part (hardly detectable from this photo). The hair strand certainly gains strength and softness, but ultimately, because let's face it, the application of brown henna on black hair does not work well. The application on the black strand did not produce noticeable pigmentation except for a few visible brown strands only in backlight, not detectable from the photographic image. The strand feels soft and silky to the touch, and the color, all in all, has remained unchanged. Original Color: Golden Brown Applied Henna: Brown Henna Application Time: 120 minutes In this case, the brown henna has darkened the original golden brown, enhancing all its golden highlights. A beautiful result, considering that the hair treated with natural henna in this case also appears brighter and softer. The photo does not do it justice, but it is definitely a winning combination, trust us.
