Based on Rooibos orange and ginger, and Neve di Primavera cold tea, Iroka was one of the first tea-based cocktails to be part of our challenges. Created by "Amor Di-vino," it stems from a great passion for spices, exotic fragrances, and good gin.
The tea infusion was extracted cold, and the same process was used to extract the base of the syrup reduced in a bain-marie with the addition of ginger and citrus peels to not alter the drink's aromas.

TexMex is the tea-based cocktail created by the expert bartenders at Minibar. Made with Terza Luna ginger tea and citrus, Mexican rum and mezcal with the addition of homemade citrus essential oil, it was one of the most appreciated cocktails during the first edition of the Slow Iced Tea Challenge.
Mezcal with its smoky echo, derived from the main extract of agave, pervades the palate with an unmistakable and persistent taste, which is attenuated by the chameleon-like taste of rum, contrasted by the sweet and citrusy note created by the fusion of tea and added essential oils.
The winner of the first Terza Luna Challenge is him. Created by Davide Mitacchione, Italian champion of Bacardi Legacy, as well as one of the best bartenders in Italy, it was appreciated by all the judges for its balanced taste and the great ability to mix such different ingredients.
In this tea-based cocktail, all the ingredients are shaken except for the tea soda, and then poured into a Collins-style glass, filling it to the top with the soda based on the two chosen teas. It is garnished with a few drops of angostura, a sprinkle of pimento, a sprig of mint, and a slice of lime.
This cocktail with precious black tea Nepal Garam Massala is a drink prepared with the old-fashioned technique based on Buffalo Trace Kentucky Bourbon and vodka flavored with black tea.
It is a reinterpretation of the classic Old Fashioned, but with a completely new ingredient: Nepal Garam Massala. This flavored black tea is spicy thanks to the aromatization with orange, ginger, cinnamon, and other aromas such as cardamom, cloves, black pepper, which together make it very similar to a classic Indian chai.

This cocktail with cold tea created by Angelo Romano during the first edition of the Slow Iced Challenge is soft and enveloping, offering new sensory perceptions thanks to the delicate rose flavor that gives a pleasant and velvety sensation on the palate.
The infusion of orange tea, the main ingredient of the drink, makes the blend delicate and at the same time releases a persistent taste with pleasant spring nuances.
The ingredients are:
A wonderful tea and spice cocktail created in the last edition of the Challenge reserved for the best bartenders in Puglia, the Tea Punch Express was able to combine the nuances of green tea within a cocktail with turmeric and rum. Prepared as a classic punch based on rum and throwing technique, it amazed the jury with its peculiar taste and the ability to skillfully mix the ingredients in a truly memorable recipe.
For this punch, the goal was to enhance the green tea Marrakech Express inside the cocktail first by extracting its fruity aromas through the maceration process with lemon peels, sugar, and turmeric (a spice widely used in Moroccan cuisine) and then returning it to its original form (cold infusion) to give the drink the taste of green tea.
Let's now move on to a truly unique cocktail with matcha tea for the combination of fragrances and flavors. The Spicy Blast was created during a Challenge that saw the best bartenders and mixologists from Bari compete three years ago, but it remains a cocktail with a highly innovative base of tea. The technique used was flash blend in a double cup and the ingredients are as follows:
Hulk Sake is the second drink on this list created by the bartenders at Mezcla, a truly extraordinary cocktail based on Sake and Green Detox Green Tea Third Moon extracted with cold maceration. Created in the last edition of the Slow Iced Tea Challenge, it was highly appreciated both by the jury and by social media users.
The ingredients are essential, but enough to make this cocktail truly exceptional and worth trying.
Ivan Milone's Biscottino cocktail is undoubtedly one of the most striking drinks presented during various bartender challenges for its originality and elaboration. A cocktail with aquavitae flavored with Third Moon red fruit tea and an incredible biscuit foam.
Here's how Ivan describes his drink:
There is a moment of the day when all you want to do is sit down, drink a cup of tea accompanied by some biscuits. At the same time, there is someone else who would like to stop for a drink and not think about anything. Biscottino is the delightful compromise that brings together shy tea drinkers and brave drink tasters.
The ingredients for this drink are as follows:
