#4 SEIGAIHA MEDITATION CUSHION

-JAPANESE ZAFU CUSHION-

Zafu is the name given to Japanese meditation cushions that have this characteristic round shape and are traditionally filled with the fiber of a plant called Kapok, particularly appreciated for its soft yet compact texture.
Ideal for those in need of support for meditation. 
The cushion also includes a carrying case.
You will find zafus in Japanese temples, in zen practice dojos, and in the homes of those who follow these disciplines.

More generally, it is a cushion of extremely high quality that meets very specific characteristics: providing comfortable support for a correct posture, where one can sit to drink their tea, meditate, read, etc.

This zafu represents our fourth proposal in the journey we have called Serial Plant Lovers, within which we accompany the community of tea and botanical enthusiasts with a series of objects to grow and deepen their practice.

SEIGAIHA PATTERN

The Seigaiha sea waves pattern is characteristic of Japanese tradition, often reproduced in its art, evoking the serenity of clouds and sea waves.

WHAT IS A ZAFU AND HOW IS IT USED?

The zafu helps you take care of your posture, body, and mind. It lifts the hips, making the posture more upright and allowing you to have an erect spine, without tension. At first, it may seem a bit difficult, but it will quickly take on the right firmness.

Made 100% with natural materials
Kapok is the original filling for zafus in Japan; it provides the right firmness to meditate comfortably and for a long time. The natural microfiber that composes it is hollow like a reed and covered in fat; this makes it lighter than cotton and almost completely unaffected by water and parasites.

Seigaiha 

If it becomes lumpy over time, you can put the zafu in the sun to restore its shape. One of the folds is not closed in case you want to fill it more one day. To clean it, brush the fabric or vacuum; stains can be removed by gently rubbing with a damp cloth.
